Who We Serve

While dental services through our Children's Oral Health Program are available to all students in Portland Public Schools, our program is designed with a focus on providing services to vulnerable populations, specifically children and families experiencing homelessness and those without insurance. Receiving quality dental care and education and establishing a dental home during the crucial years from 0–18 can be extremely difficult for underserved homeless youth without the help of community-based dental programs like ours that seek to establish lifelong oral health care early. Greater Portland Health works with uninsured patients through our financial assistance program and community health workers to guide them through the process of becoming insured and utilizing community resources.
