Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Greater Portland Health! 

We are in need of volunteers to help with administrative projects in the following areas:

Assisting with the referrals process

  • Call patients to verify insurance information, change PCP on insurance plan, or schedule appointments with specialty offices
  • Add completed referrals to referral tracking list
  • Organize and maintain completed referrals
  • Close completed referrals in NextGen

In medical records

  • Organize scanning documents
  • Review and file new patient registration forms
  • File insurance cards in NextGen
  • Shred documents
  • General office assistance (e.g. filing, scanning, shredding documents)

Requirements

  • Must be able to provide proof of immunizations
  • Volunteer roles do not include clinical duties or patient contact
